Who we are

Veritas RBC is a reformed congregation in the baptist tradition. We identify ourselves as Creedal, Confessional, and Covenantal.

By Creedal, we mean that we affirm the historic standards of Christianity articulated in the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds. In so doing, we align ourselves with believers throughout the ages and around the world that make up the body of Christ.

By Confessional, we mean that we affirm the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. With this confession, we commit to the highest possible view of God’s word as the sole authority of faith and practice.

By Covenantal, we mean that we interpret scripture in a manner consistent with God’s covenantal interaction with humanity. Beginning with Adam in the garden of Eden and extending throughout redemptive history, God has always established relationships with mankind through covenants; the culmination of these covenantal relationships being the New Covenant established by Jesus Christ. The word of God reveals and articulates these covenant truths and we seek to understand God’s word accordingly.
