Mission
The mission of Veritas RBC is to advance the kingdom of Christ by equipping our people to live faithful lives dedicated to the great commission. We do that by embracing reformation principles in such a way that our theology leads to God centered worship resulting in a life that is wholly committed to glorifying God and enjoying him forever. As a reformed baptist congregation, Veritas RBC places a high priority on theological and doctrinal precision. That being said, we desire much more than an academic reformation that might captivate our own intellectual interest but fail to impact the world around us. We often talk about three realms of reformation; the theological realm, the church/worship realm, and the cultural realm. Within the theological realm, our commitment to reformation includes a truly big God theology with a focus on the authority of scripture and the supremacy of Christ. Within the church realm, we seek to worship God in the way that he has prescribed in scripture, rejecting the man centered approach of so much of the modern church. Finally, reformation in the cultural realm results from the overflow of our theology and worship into every aspect of life. We desire to do our jobs, educate our children, evangelize our neighbors, participate in recreation, etc. joyfully and to the glory of God.
Vision
At Veritas we often talk about building for the future. Our vision for the future is connected to our desire to see our reformed principles extend to every area of life. We are committed to laying the foundation for the next generation to continue the onslaught of the church against the gates of hell. We embrace the unspeakable privilege of being used by God in the advance of the kingdom of Christ. We see our worship as warfare against evil and the proclamation of the gospel as our most powerful weapon. This begins with the discipleship of our immediate family but it also extends to every arena in which God has granted us influence.
